When I went out to the yard today I was pleased to see that the lemon pear tomato had two blossoms. I’ve got close to twenty buds on that plant so I’m glad to see them start to bloom.
The Sweet 100 has been a bit floppy to I clipped a yellow bungee cord to help keep it more upright. That seems to have solved the problem for now.
I just can’t get over how much taller both have gotten in just two weeks! The dates down at the bottom are where it was, and now look at it! I have to think about either getting the extension cage to this or some other kind of trellis arrangement. Paul says it will grow fine without a trellis but I don’t want a floppy tomato vine drooping over the sides. Child will mangle it.
