I never did tell what happened to our summer tomato experiment.
Julia and I learned that while tomatoes will grow like crazy in the Florida summer, the night temps are too hot and cause blossom drop. If the flowers keep falling off, they can’t pollinate and turn into tomatoes.

I got caught with a mess of dishes and no Ecover tablets. So I decided to give two homemade recipes a whirl with stuff I had on hand.
The first is the easiest.
1 tbs of Arm and Hammer Washing Soda
1 tbs or Mule Team Borax
