Today I got some time in the garden. Julia helped me knock off the dirt from the basil plants I uprooted and we trashed them. Never figured out if those nodules were bugs or disease, but either way, didn’t want it spreading.
Then she played in the dirt while I weeded and fertilized the lower squares. Close enough to 6 weeks now and I had the time. On the weekend, I might not. I spread the herbs apart too — I won’t plant those as densely again.
My Empress Bean and Clockvine came in to day. So I’m excited to plant tomorrow. Paul made me my new grids and after fiddling around with companion planting lists, here’s the plan.

I ended up moving the carrots down to the bottom because the bell peppers are still in the first row of the lower bed. Supposedly carrots and peppers play nice together.
